    • His team has purposely made our media lives exhausting. No easy way to comprehend or address the firehose of activities. This was a way to pause and think big picture. There have been a number of recent video clips of the president appearing unable to answer even basic interview questions which truly question his ability to function. At some point he may deteriorate beyond the point where he can be propped up by the team. I also believe that the economic impacts of his trade war will be strong enough to impact real lives. This may give the handful of possible independent Republican senators and congressmen/women the excuse/courage to get back to doing their jobs: budgets, priorities, listening, reviewing appointments, overseeing the executive branch, legislating, etc. One can only hope.

      • there are fewer months left to stop the chaos. I feel by September we will be in a depression. If Trump doesn’t stop poking Japan and China, they will retaliate with a sell off of our bonds. The dollar will tank. Then the job will be complete. No democracy, no trade, no one trusting the US.

        totally disappointed in the democrats. No plan, no leadership, no organized resistance. We are on our own. My brother and I are filing for a second passport from Italy. My grandfather came from Calabria, Italy. Hope it goes smoothly and quickly. Part of my plan “b”.

        even Indiana is sliding. We are one of I think 2 states that requires a balanced budget. We’ll, that’s not gonna happen for next year based on the short falls predicted. Don’t know what the State can do other than raise taxes and at this point in the process they are turning that over to the local municipalities. We will definitely see the change in schools based on where you live.

        I hope Sue is not feeling the brunt of all this. Most of our Hamilton County elected are still making common sense and fair decisions.
